The afterlife...?
The afterlife comes in many shapes/forms/guises if you take into account all the differing religious views/personal views/myths/legends etc
How do you see the afterlife? How does it relate to your religion or lifestyle as such?
This is a question posed to everyone, not just referring to religious people, even atheistic or agnostic views are welcome in this thread.
For me, I believe in the spirit world, a place where our souls drift towards, or get pulled into after our materiel bodies can no longer hold us ie; death. Maybe we sojourn in these lands in our sleep - dreams. Though we have no control over our dreams, that may be because we are still controlled by rules of matter as we are still contained within our bodies.
truthfully, we can probably offer little or no evidence regarding the truth of our beliefs, but that doesn't mean we can't share them with others. Whether there is, or isn't an after-life, death is something we will all experience sooner or later.
So, what are your ideas, thoughts, opinions, beliefs about the afterlife?

If by that you mean it couldn't have existed without being made by a god, I ask you who created this god if things simply cannot be without being made?
All you have highlighted is my lack of proper description of what I believe to be a spiritual world.
I was generalising, there's no way i can be sure of what it will be, but it won't be made from matter, so therefore, it might not have needed a creator in the first place...

We all will be judged by God on judgment day
That will determine where we will be
That will determine where we will be

Heaven and hell , were just made up to comfort people from what's really going to happen.

And how would you know? Did you tell someone to kill himself, then send a letter to tell you what happens when you die? Well someone has told me what is going to happen, and that is the bibleBoxman wrote:Maybe if you guys didn't think of this .. when you die .. YOU DIE. that's it .

I don't think Hell is a comfort. Heaven maybe, but certainly Hell was created (if it is not real) to scare people and to behaving during their lifetimes.

yes, lets all believe in a book written thousands of years ago by some delusional followers of a guy claiming to be the son of god. lets look at modern times...
The leader of the Heven's Gate cult (killed themselves, they thought theyd go on a UFO tailing Halley's Comet) claimed to be the son of jesus/god (i forget). we passed it off as bullcrap. but someone (Jesus) did pretty much the same thing and is now regarded as a messiah.
people back then would believe anything. i bet if tom cruise went back in time and preached scientology before even Judaism, at least some people would follow it.
regarding the actual point of this debate, i dont believe in an afterlife.

The thing is Jesus never claimed that, it was fabricated a long time after his death. In fact, some historians have even gone as far as naming his real father, you just have to know where to look for this info. A pope of Rome selected the 25th of December as his birthday also as a way of converting pagans who celebrated the birth of the sun god on the 25th December.
Everything about Jesus was fabricated to create Christianity but he was in fact a saviour to the Jews, and there were many prophecy's about someone coming and saving them, though Jesus was like the 4th Jew saviour, but they must've decided it was about him.
he never claimed he was the son of God, so trying to point the finger at a man who has been the basis for the biggest lie in history is meaningless, the man did nothing wrong, and if he knew what the founders of Christianity has done to him he would probably be turning in his grave, especially during the early years when Christians slaughtered thousands of people they claimed to be witches in God's name.
the only genuine thing about the religion is that its still a connection - albeit a warped one - to one of the many manifestations of the divine force that makes up everything.
Look for the Marian conspiracy on Amazon, you'll probably find that very interesting.

Re: The afterlife...?
If there were afterlife, look at this.
If you were to go to heaven because you've been all good, like what they say, then you get resurrected at the Judgement Day, why would you go back to Earth if life in heaven is WAY better than this life now?
I'm not sure if I proved this right, but yeah....
